SED OASIS cultivator of ALGERIAN dates, is undoubtedly one of the leaders in the export of dates SED OASIS, Depositary of an ancestral tradition, that of the successive generations of the MABROUKI family which cultivates for more than two centuries this holy fruit, source of life in the desert.
SED OASIS is also a family business which originates from the exploitation of one of the most important date palm plantations in TOLGA, a veritable rich terroir in the heart of the oasis crowned by the divine Deglet Nour which takes its flavor of nectar and its unique taste.

An experience of more than 50 years but an ancestral know-how

Our palm grove is located in Biskra in Algeria, considered the best terroir for the queen of dates: Deglet Nour. We are committed to making the whole world discover this very energetic fruit with a very sweet, juicy taste and an almost transparent appearance. In order to offer you a quality and a unique taste at every moment of the year, SED OASIS produces in a reasoned way by reducing the treatments by contributions of organic and non-chemical fertilizers. The assurance of tasting fresh dates guaranteed of optimal quality.
Dates are produced once a year after summer, between October and November. In order to respect the unique and particular taste of Deglet Nour, water, sun and natural fertilizer (sheep and rooster manure) are enough to hatch the fruit. The dates are then harvested and sorted manually with the necessary delicacy.
Since the 17th century, our family has cultivated dates of all varieties on the land of Biskra in Algeria. It was from 1850 that Deglet Nour began to be produced on this terroir. Aware of its fantastic properties, no other variety has been produced on these lands since then. The sole purpose of producing dates at this time is to meet the nutritional needs of families for the year. It could also be traded for other foods if needed.
Today, thanks to the know-how transmitted from generation to generation in the respect of traditions and cultures, we wish to democratize the Deglet Nour and make you discover the authentic taste of this tasty fruit considered as one of the oldest cultivated fruits .

The benefits of Deglet Nours dates

Deglet Nour dates are an excellent source of dietary fiber.

It is recommended to consume 20-35 grams of dietary fiber per day. Dietary fiber comes in two forms: soluble and insoluble.


Insoluble fiber increases the speed at which food moves through the digestive system. Soluble fiber can help control diabetes by reducing high levels of blood glucose. Soluble fiber has also been found to help lower serum cholesterol, particularly unwanted low density lipoprotein (LDL).

Dates have the highest concentration of polyphenols among dried fruits. They are also one of the best natural sources of potassium. Potassium is an essential mineral for the body in order to maintain muscle contractions, including the vital heart muscle. Potassium is necessary to maintain a healthy nervous system and thus to balance the metabolism of the body.
As potassium is not stored in the body, and much to lose in sweat, it must be continually replenished. An increase of about 400 mg in potassium intake has been associated with a 40% reduction in the risk of stroke. Which is roughly equivalent to an additional daily serving of dates.
Dates also contain a variety of B complex vitamins – thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B-6 and pantothenic acid. These vitamins have a variety of functions that help maintain a healthy body – metabolize carbohydrates and maintain blood sugar, fatty acids for energy, and they help make hemoglobin, red and white blood cells.
Dates also contain magnesium which is essential for healthy bone development and energy metabolism and iron which is essential for the production of red blood cells. Red blood cells carry all the nutrients to cells throughout the body.
